CookBook
Methods for importing recipes from MasterCook into CookBook:
Option 1: CookBook does the bulk import (recommended for many recipes)
- Export your MasterCook library to a .mz2 file.
- Email team@cookbookmanager.com with:
- Your CookBook email/username
- The app you’re transferring from: MasterCook
- Your exported .mz2 file (attach or share a download link)
- We’ll queue the import and notify you when it’s done. Note: a Pro subscription is required.
Option 2: Import individual recipes yourself (one by one)
- Export a single recipe from MasterCook to a supported format (CookBook reads JSON-LD, hRecipe, Schema.org, and most plain text).
- In CookBook tap Add (+) → From a file, select the file, review, then Save.
Supported export file types include:
- CookBook: .zip
- Big Oven: .zip
- Cookmate: .mcb
- Copy Me That: .zip (html) / .zip (text)
- Living Cookbook: .fdx / .fdxz
